I decided to do an ammo box with two other friends. At first we drew up our dimensions on paper for everything. After that we made an idea board of some ideas on what it would look like. Then we got some red clay and started to roll it out to our dimensions. Then we waited for it to get leather hard. And that is about as far as i got. In my artwork the element of art that was used was shape and form, because we had to make and form the walls, bottom, and top. On this project I think that I learned a couple of things, like having to wait for it to get "leather hard", having to slip and score to hold it together, and making everything the same dimensions. Challenging things in this projects were having the clay at the right hardness, otherwise it won't hold together well, or it would break.
In this project me, Nathan, Dale, and some other students built and taped together a model assault-gun. In this project we focused on making an original work of art. In the process of making it we did many things to build it, we used lots of duck tape, cardboard, and toilet paper rolls. Some elements of art that we used were shape, texture, and form.
Projects I have done so far this year are, a neon painting with a brownish hand print in the middle, and the other project I've been working on is a model hand gun. I was successful with wrapping it with duck tape and making it look as realistic as i could. I did struggle with whether or not to continue with it or start a new pistol.
John James Audubon. I connect with this artist because I like eagles as a favorite animal. This artist uses the art medium in a unique way to make a almost live pictures. He uses lines and shapes the most.
